I’m amazed by the perfect texture of the grass in this one, the bright sun and the large trees on the left. The only thing I don’t like in this hdri is the fact of seeing all that urbanization at the center to such a small size, but all that is compensated by the excellent green color of the lawn, and the magnificent ancestral clouds in the top. It is an IBL tool, that means it has a lot of interesting features: it works with and without. While rendering with Vray sun and sky, I am able to soften the shadows by increasing the size multiplier of the sunlight. We can use HDRIs in V-Ray using the V-Ray Dome. While rendering an arcitectual exterior scene using a dome light and HDRI I am always getting sharp shadows, and can't find a way to get them soft. I am using Vray 3.6 on Maya 2016 for my renderings. Your Vray Environment dialog should now look like this: Okay, now we put the HDRI-SKYLIGHT into the right slot, now render again and you can see that we will get a grey sphere.
